I think everyone remembers their first time at the movies. The big chairs and huge screen, the smell of popcorn and candy, all in anticipation of viewing something magical come to life on the silver screen. I have a number of personal memories and attachments.

I don't really get "scared" but my first real 'scary' memory was the post credits scene for 1987's Masters of the Universe. At 3, one of my first memories was solidified here.

Around my 7th grade year, my dad's job allowed us to view select sneak previews every week the Thursday before a Friday release. One of my all time favorite memories is being able to see movies early, bringing a friend or two, and showing up to school the next day like a teenaged Siskel and Ebert.

For over 35 years, it was where I watched most theatrical releases, and I will miss it.
